Past Projects

1. Recording (Picture-stories) / Oral Histories of Indo-Canadian Seniors in Windsor, 2013-2017 (a continuing project)


2. Presentation on Komagata Maru Incident by Dr. Sushil Jain and a trip to see the performance “The Komagata Maru Incident”, at Stratford Festival in August 2019, in association with Serbian Centre.


3.  South Asian Business Directory was published in 2015 for the South Asian Community to market their businesses by SAPNA (South Asian Professional Network Association, Windsor-Essex).

4. A documentary called: Izzat: Breaking the silence on Elder Abuse was produced and screened in Windsor, 2014, financed by a New Horizon for Seniors Grant. The documentary throws light on abuse and problems faced by South Asian seniors.


5. Addressing Problem Gambling Project in the South Asian Community of Windsor-Essex County, May 2002.


We also gave lectures on Indian history through Canterbury Elder College, arranged orientation sessions for International students with the assistant of Windsor-LaSalle police, initiated Tagore Centenary Celebrations, and organized A Century plus one celebration of Indian cinema (in cooperation with the University of Windsor Department of film, media, and cinema).
